What is the difference between concertina wire, razor wire and barbed wire?
Barbed wire has short twisted wire points and is used for basic boundary marking. Razor wire uses a punched steel tape with sharp blades crimped around a high-tensile core wire. Concertina wire is razor wire formed into large expanding coils, usually clipped at intervals, which spread into a dense three-dimensional barrier — the highest level of physical deterrence of the three.
What is the difference between BTO-22, BTO-30 and CBT-65 concertina wire?
BTO (Barbed Tape Obstacle) numbers indicate the approximate barb length in millimetres — BTO-22 has a 22 mm barb and BTO-30 a longer 30 mm barb, both common for industrial walls, warehouses and solar parks. CBT-65 (Concertina Barbed Tape) carries long 65 mm blades and is specified for defence installations, borders, prisons and other high-security perimeters.
